Are you looking to get a real estate license in Kentucky? If you're currently licensed in Florida, Tennessee, or Illinois, you're in luck! Kentucky holds reciprocity agreements with these states that would allow you to complete fewer course hours and skip the national portion of the licensing exam. Before you try to get a Kentucky Real Estate License through reciprocity, you need to first make sure you meet one of the below eligibility requirements:
Florida: Must be actively licensed in Florida as a sales associate for a minimum of one (1) year immediately preceding the submission of your reciprocal application.
Tennessee: Must be actively licensed in Tennessee as an associate broker for a minimum of one (1) year immediately preceding the submission of your reciprocal application.
Illinois: Must be actively licensed in Illinois as a broker for a minimum of one (1) year immediately preceding the submission of your reciprocal application.
Florida: actively licensed in Florida as a broker for a minimum of two (2) years immediately preceding the submission of your reciprocal application.
Tennessee: actively licensed in Tennessee as a broker for a minimum of three (3) years immediately preceding the submission of your reciprocal application.
Illinois: actively licensed in Illinois as a managing broker or be eligible for a managing broker's license for a minimum of two (2) years immediately preceding the submission of your reciprocal application.
