Real Estate Agent

How to Find a Good Real Estate Agent?๏ปฟ

    1.      Get Pre-Approved by a lender first.

    2.      Ask your friends and family.

    3.      Google them.

    4.      Interview at least 2 potential agents.

    5.      Look for online reviews.

    6.      Ask them about their communication expectations.

    7.      Feel if they click with you!

Finding a real estate agent is such a vital part of one of the biggest purchases of your life... a home. A dependable agent who is dedicated to your home search is going to make the world of difference. Step one in the home-buying process is finding a reliable lender. We have a whole article dedicated to doing just that. Click here to read how to find a loan officer and obtain a mortgage loan.

Ask your friends and family if they know any real estate professionals. This is a great place to start because they are basing this referral off a good experience they’ve already had. If you are a new agent reading this article, be mindful of the power of referrals. New Realtors should leverage their connections to find new clients.

Interview at least 2 potential agents so that you can compare their business approaches. Every real estate agent runs their business differently. Ask them about their previous transactions and if they’ve ever been in a multiple offer situation. You should be able to get a good read on the way they handle transactions from these questions.

As always, use the internet to find a buyer’s agent. Give the agent a Google. Check out their business Facebook page or Instagram account. Look for certified reviews. Use the platform Real Satisfied to see if they have any previous client reviews. If you are an agent, you should send your clients a link to Real Satisfied after every transaction to get feedback! Use this feedback to either improve your credibility to a potential new client or hone your craft.

You should ask your potential agent about their communication expectations. It’s great to be on the same page with your real estate representative right off the back. Let the agent know if you prefer to be texted, emailed, or called. Let your agent know your work schedule and when best times for showings. This will ensure communication and help create a plan of action.

Finally, go with your gut and pick an agent that you click with. You are going to be spending a lot of time with your real estate agent and you are entrusting them with a huge purchase. Make sure you pick someone that you like being around. Your real estate agent should be hard working and accountable. Hopefully they make your home-buying process a breeze.

If you’re a licensed real estate agent, you already know that your education doesn’t stop once you pass the exam. Continuing Education (CE) is a crucial part of maintaining your license, but it’s also an opportunity to grow in your career. Every state has its own CE requirements, so it’s essential to stay informed and compliant with your local laws to avoid penalties or even losing your license.

Let’s start by making one thing clear: not all real estate schools are the same. There are different types of programs, and the one that’s best for you depends on how you learn best. Some schools offer in-person classes, where you attend scheduled lectures in a classroom setting. Others provide fully online courses, allowing you to study at your own pace from anywhere. Some programs have live virtual sessions at set times, while others are entirely self-guided. Choosing the right school isn’t just about availability, it’s about finding a format that fits you.
