Simple Real Estate Marketing Post

    Real Estate Social Media

When you first become a new real estate agent, the number one thing that you need to make sure you are doing daily is marketing yourself. What does that look like? The short answer- anything you like! To keep things simple, there are three main things your marketing should aim to accomplish.

    1. Creating awareness about you and what you do.
    2. Providing your audience relevant information.
    3. Relating to your audience and creating a chance for interaction.

Your marketing should aim to accomplish one of these points above every time you post. Let’s break down why you want to focus on this kind of messaging.

    • Creating awareness. Real estate is about creating trust with your client. You can build credibility by posting about your latest clients and achievements. Share their stores and their success with you as an agent to help your audience understand what working with you is like.

    • Providing information. As a real estate agent, you are going to be the expert on a lot of topics that involve real estate. Once you’ve been in the industry for a while, this knowledge is going to come second nature to you. People that are not in the industry can benefit from you sharing information so that they can make informed decisions about their own real estate goals and what’s a realistic scenario for them. A great way to make connections with people is by posting pre-liminary house hunting information so that they can understand what it takes to begin the process.

    • Relating to your audience. This is a fun and vital part of posting on social media. Everything you post should be friendly, encompass your personally, and invite people to engage with you. Why? Because if someone responds to your post asking about the content you’ve created, then you can now try to create a connection. This could possibly lead to you representing this person down the road. Even if it’s not today, this person is aware that you are in real estate and is starting to make a connection with you. That’s a great thing!

I am going to give you a marketing example below to help you visualize what this could look like. Here's a creative post that I’ve used in my own business. Here are three ways you could use this post:

    • Post on social media. You can post this on Facebook, Instagram, or whatever platform you use the most. You can either share it to your business account or share it on your personal account. Whatever makes more sense to you and your business.
    • Send as an email. You should be regularly collecting your past clients, friends, family, and potential new client’s email addresses. You don’t want to overwhelm them with emails, but you can send an occasional email updating them every now and again to keep you top of mind.
    • Send a postcard. You can print your post on a post-card and mail them to your client list. This can feel more personal, and you can add a handwritten note. Then you can follow up with a phone call to check if they got your card and that can be a great way to re-connect with your data base.

Simple creative post idea: Spring Soup Recipe

Caption: Spring is here, and I am still making soup. I’m sharing the homemade recipe I made this Sunday for the week, and my household absolutely loved it. It’s healthy and easy to make and only took me about 10 minutes. Soup can be a great way to use any vegetables you have left over in the fridge, and it feeds you lunch for 3 or 4 days so it saves me money on groceries or eating out. Let me know if you make it!

    Ingredients:

    ·      Olive oil

    ·      1 onion

    ·      2 zucchini

    ·      3 jalapenos

    ·      5 small rainbow potatoes and/or 2 small sweet potatoes

    ·      4 carrots

    ·      1 can of crushed tomatoes

    ·      Juice of ½ a lemon

    ·      1 can of kidney beans (optional)

    ·      Turmeric

    ·      Garlic

    ·      Salt & pepper

    ·      Apple cider vinegar

    ·      Balsamic vinegar

    ·      Sour cream

    Instructions:

    • Rinse and roughly chop all your vegetables and place in a large soup pot on low heat adding a generous pour of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
    • Wait until all your vegetables have softened and then add 1 can of crushed tomatoes, the juice of the lemon, a splash of apple cider vinegar and some balsamic.
    • Use an immersive blender or normal blender to puree all the ingredients together. Then add your desired spices. (I added garlic + turmeric.)
    • Rinse a can of kidney beans and add to the soup and stir. Add about a cup of sour cream or more depending on how creamy you’d like the texture.

Enjoy! Here’s a picture of what that post would look like:

Now what is this post accomplishing? It’s giving your audience relatable information and encourages interaction. Hopefully, someone really does try your soup recipe and reaches out! It’s fun and easy and it puts you out there. These kinds of post can be a great gateway for you to get you comfortable posting online as a new agent. Because when you start out you don’t have a ton of client experiences to post so it can be a way to gain exposure without feeling like you are being really “salesy” about it.

The real estate industry is vast, and while being a generalist can work, many agents find that specializing in a niche can lead to greater success. Focusing on a specific market allows you to refine your expertise, stand out from the competition, and attract the clients you truly want to work with.

If you’re a licensed real estate agent, you already know that your education doesn’t stop once you pass the exam. Continuing Education (CE) is a crucial part of maintaining your license, but it’s also an opportunity to grow in your career. Every state has its own CE requirements, so it’s essential to stay informed and compliant with your local laws to avoid penalties or even losing your license.

Let’s start by making one thing clear: not all real estate schools are the same. There are different types of programs, and the one that’s best for you depends on how you learn best. Some schools offer in-person classes, where you attend scheduled lectures in a classroom setting. Others provide fully online courses, allowing you to study at your own pace from anywhere. Some programs have live virtual sessions at set times, while others are entirely self-guided. Choosing the right school isn’t just about availability, it’s about finding a format that fits you.
