2022 REALsolutions For Realtors

It has been a whirlwind of chaos since 2020. We are all looking with hopeful eyes towards a bright and rewarding new year. The feeling of a fresh start can truly turn on your engine for a successful year ahead. Though many dark areas of the past years were outside of our control, we can look at what areas of our career could use some improvement and strive for a banner year for 2022. Here are a few suggestions to start this year on the right foot and maybe even get back to a newer normal for the year ahead.

    LEARN SOMETHING NEW

Knowledge is power in the real estate industry. Though most agents probably don’t exactly look forward to continuing education, it’s all about perspective. Why not make the most of it by earning a new designation or endorsement this year to add to your business acumen? Often such credentials also kill two birds with one stone and cover CE credits as well, all while enhancing your real estate knowledge and picking up some new pearls of wisdom to share with your clients. One that I highly recommend is brought to you by NAR: The C2EX course. Commitment to Excellence (C2X) is a multi-award-winning platform that will take your skills and professionalism to another level. Over 80,000 Realtors have enrolled in this course to receive this honorable endorsement. As a bonus, it also gives you the option to earn continuing education credit as well as satisfies the mandatory Code of Ethics requirement. Read more about this phenomenal course here

At Home with Diversity couldn’t be a more relevant topic in our industry than at present. This certification brought to you by the National Association of Realtors provides the necessary tools and knowledge to work with the ever-growing multicultural market. It takes a deep dive into US Fair Housing laws and provides real-life examples of how to take care of and respect clients and customers in the multicultural segment. You will leave this course with the certification you can display proudly. Learn more about At Home with Diversity here

Maybe you’re not a real estate agent, broker, or licensed Realtor yet. Perhaps you’re still at home watching real estate shows on HGTV saying to yourself, That looks like a fun career! I can picture myself doing that!” Why not make 2022 your year? Perry Real Estate College has been dedicated to licensing agents for over 20 years. We are a cutting-edge EdTech company that teaches busy people how they can increase their earning potential by getting a real estate license. GET ORGANIZED

Whether you are a stressed-out parent, busy real estate agent, or both, getting organized has probably been on your to-do list for quite some time. There are so many moving parts, it’s hard to know where to begin to create more efficiency in your personal and professional life. If you don’t currently use one (or the office doesn’t provide you with one), implementing a CRM is a solid start. Customer Relationship Management software will streamline your contacts, transactions, and emails to make business more efficient. Some also come with added features like marketing tools and calendar sync, so you can handle social media posts, campaigns, and soccer practice all in one place. A great one to try that is chock full of free tools is Hubspot CRM found here.

Despite the pandemic, you may feel like you had a decent 2021. But you are a go-getter and a goal-setter. You want to make 2022 your best year ever but perhaps you’re lacking the resources to get you there. You want to provide follow-up to potential clients, stay top of mind with past clients and market yourself to a wider audience in general. Who has time for all that? A great affordable tool to quickly provide market insights to your clients is Keeping Current Matters. This service features powerful infographics, newsletters, and market insights to showcase yourself as the go-to real estate expert in your area. They also feature free webinars to teach you tricks of the trade and relevant blogs to gain insight on market news.

    SELF CARE

We’ve covered some new ways for you to refine your business practice this year, but perhaps the most important part of trailblazing 2022 is taking care of YOU! Ironically, after taking care of friends, family, and clients, taking time for our physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental wellbeing is often neglected. If we are working from home and learning from home, why not include wellness at home in our daily routine? Nike Training Club promises “Training for Every Body and Mind” on their free app. You may be saying, “Free? What’s the catch?” The app was formerly $15/month but Nike decided to make the app free in 2020 and then chose to never reinstate the monthly subscription cost. This app offers world-class professional trainers to encourage and guide you every step of the way. There are quick workouts for when you’re in a crunch for time, motivational tips, and nutritional information. This is not your typical workout app. This is not your typical fitness app. It takes a holistic approach to wellness that most training apps do not. Whether you’re up for a high-intensity sweat fest or a calming yoga session, Nike Training Club has you covered.

By implementing organizational tools, new skill sets, and knowledge with wellness practices, you can look forward to a successful 2022 with optimal work/life balance.

If you’re a licensed real estate agent, you already know that your education doesn’t stop once you pass the exam. Continuing Education (CE) is a crucial part of maintaining your license, but it’s also an opportunity to grow in your career. Every state has its own CE requirements, so it’s essential to stay informed and compliant with your local laws to avoid penalties or even losing your license.

Let’s start by making one thing clear: not all real estate schools are the same. There are different types of programs, and the one that’s best for you depends on how you learn best. Some schools offer in-person classes, where you attend scheduled lectures in a classroom setting. Others provide fully online courses, allowing you to study at your own pace from anywhere. Some programs have live virtual sessions at set times, while others are entirely self-guided. Choosing the right school isn’t just about availability, it’s about finding a format that fits you.
